I was scammed out of 6 BTC by www.bitcoinexchangeltd.com
see www.bitcoinexchangeltdSCAM.com Sent 6 BTC to www.bitcoinexchangeltd.com they replied 8 additional coins were required to meet their minimums OR a refund of the 6 BTC would be made. I requested the refund. They then required two ID's and a copy of my home electricity bill. I complied. Then they went quiet. I have several emails from www.bitcoinexchangeltd.com stating they would refund 6 BTC to my wallet. They never did and now have blocked me from interacting with their web site. Their posted Skype name is not a working account. Their posted telephone number is NOT a working number. Beware of dealing with www.bitcoinexchangeltd.com see www.bitcoinexchangeltdSCAM.com

Robbed of 1 Bitcoin
This fraudulent website claims to buy Bitcoin for cash transfered into your bank account but it never arrives. Whilst waiting for the cash to arrive with a timer spinning it tells you by online chat that the minimum deal is $2250 and you will have to send more Bitcoin to complete the transaction. Then it asks for personal i.d. to send a refund which neever arrives. Not only that it also collects personal data including i.d. and bank details and also sends malicious code only detected by heuristic antivirus software. This really is a very nasty website but convincing website, and it being investigated by the authorties.

I was refused a refund
I tried selling 0.09 bitcoin using Bitcoin Exchange Ltd https://bitcoinexchangeltd.com/order.php I went through their terms and conditions page before placing the order but somehow missed that their minimum order amount is 0.3 bitcoin. Their order form did not prompted me to enter a larger amount when I entered 0.09 bitcoin and the order was placed. I waited for some time for the payment and after 2 days contacted their customer service regarding not receiving it. That's when I found out I sent them less than the minimum amount. They refuse to refund it as per their policy refund is granted if only requested within 24 hours. The customer rep told me I must sent them 0.21 bitcoin to complete the order, but their terms page says also that an order is processed only if the payment was made within 15 minutes of placing it. Do they have lawful right to refuse me a refund?

As the Gox debacle showed, Bitcoins are a bonanza for online thieves. Unlike "real" money, you have no recourse when things like this happen.
Gox users lost $400 million.
Stay away from these "virtual" currencies.
